Online Catechesis in May 2020

We note that the Ministry of Education has brought forward the mid-year school holidays to 5 May - 1 June 2020, as part of the Circuit Breaker to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Office of Catechesis has encouraged all parishes to continue with the weekly online Catechetical Programme. We feel that the online programme has helped us to build rapport with your child and has given us the opportunity to also assure your child that in the midst of the Covid -19 pandemic, God is still in charge and loving us through this suffering and struggle.

We are keenly aware that during this Circuit Breaker, where we are expected to stay home, this time together is an opportunity for your child to learn, live, love, and share his/her faith.

The Secondary Levels' online sessions will continue weekly on Sundays from 11am to 12noon.

Some activities have also been planned for small group sessions during this mid-year school holidays. Parents and seekers will be informed by their respective catechists.

The Primary Levels' online sessions will continue until Saturday, 23 May 2020. The sessions' timings are as follows:

L2 & L3 : 4.30pm - 5.30pm

L4: 3.00pm - 3.45pm

L5: 4.00pm - 4.45pm

L6: 5.00pm - 5.45pm

The difference in timings is to cater to siblings who may not have enough IT devices in the same household.

The will be no sessions for the Primary Levels from 30 May - 27 June 2020.
